NEW AUTUMN ROUND - London Woodland Grants Scheme 2007/8

Groundwork London is inviting applications for a second round of the London Woodland Grants Scheme.  The scheme offers small grants (£500-£5000) for tree and woodland related projects.  Funding is offered for a variety of activities from planting and maintaining trees to woodland management, signage and community involvement.  At present the scheme is only available in East and South East London.

Summary

The Grants Scheme aims to promote partnership to increase tree cover over the Thames Gateway area as laid out in the urban forestry strategy document.

The Scheme distributes grants to encourage tree planting and woodland management in strategic zones and corridors in the Thames Gateway, and assists applicants in formalising their applications to meet ecological and grant criteria.

Deadline for the autumn round of applications is 30th Septemebr 2007.
