Groundwork London submitted a bid to Jobcentre Plus to fund the LEAP project. This bid was successful, meaning the LEAP project can now go ahead.
LEAP will deliver work focused training giving beneficiaries the skills, experience and qualifications needed to access jobs in the health, education, environmental and housing sectors. Target groups include: people with disabilities, black minority ethnic groups, ex-offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, substance abusers and the economically inactive. Key outcomes include jobs, qualifications and employability skills. The impact of LEAP will be enhanced employability and reduced worklessness amongst disadvantaged groups.
LEAP will bring together various delivery partners under the management of the Groundwork London regional office. Employment practioners across the London Trusts will work closely with regional office to ensure uniformed delivery in management, contract compliance, quality and monitoring and evaluation.
