Lindy Kelly - Regional Director - Lindy arrived in the UK from Australia 20 years ago on an environmental study tour, ended up volunteering for Groundwork and has never left. She has worked her way from physical delivery (digging paths and putting up signposts) thru programme management, to ED for Groundwork Manchester, Salford & Trafford, where she grew the Trust into one of Groundwork?s largest and most successful.

Lindy was promoted to Regional Director for London at the beginning of 2004. She is currently responsible for driving forward the strategy for London; focusing on increasing Groundwork?s coverage of the capital and cementing it?s position as the environmental regeneration delivery partner of choice for the key London agencies.

Patricia Gaye - PA to Regional Director - Patricia joined Groundwork London in June 2004 as PA to the Regional Directors for London and the South-East. Her role is to provide direct personal support to them both and to problem solve and take action as appropriate. She is also a qualified St John Ambulance First Aider.

Prior to joining Groundwork, Patricia spent 14 years working for Lewisham Council in various different departments, starting as a temporary clerk typist in the Leisure Services Department, and ending as PA to the Director of Downham and Bellingham Education Action Zone.

Clive Fox - Head of Policy and Programmes (London) - Working with the Regional Director and leading the Policy and Programmes team, Clive has been responsible for Groundwork?s policies and partnerships at strategic levels in London since 1996, together with the development and management of pan-London programmes. These have included 10 years of London-wide SRB programmes and leadership of transnational partnership programmes in Europe.

Clive was previously Executive Director of the first Groundwork Trust in London from 1993 and has served at board and management levels on many regeneration partnerships throughout the capital. Prior to that he was chief executive of one of the English regional arts funding bodies for 20 years, serving on many national policy forums. A Fellow of the RSA, he chairs the Trustees of an arts charity, the St Hugh?s Foundation, which he established in 1991.

Clive Fox - Head of Policy and Programmes (London)

Anita Konrad - Policy Development Manager -
Anita joined Groundwork in 2003 as Senior Development Officer and Interreg Co-ordinator, and is now Policy Development Manager. She works on policy and programme development around Groundwork London?s core themes and activities. Part of her role is also to establish relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration with key strategic partners such as the GLA and LDA. Anita chairs the Strategic Planning Working Group of the London Parks and Green Spaces Forum and is a member of the London BIDs Advisory Board.

Anita has more than ten years experience in regeneration, sustainable development, community involvement and local economic development in the UK, Germany, Austria and Italy. She holds an MSc in Regional and Urban Planning and an MA in European Ethnology and History.

Martin Jones - Programmes Development Manager - Martin joined Groundwork London in 2001 as a Programmes Officer, and is now Programmes Development Manager (Europe). He is responsible for developing and managing Groundwork London's involvement in European programmes, in particular the SAUL (Sustainable & Accessible Urban Landscapes) project. Prior to joining Groundwork, Martin worked for several organisations in the heritage sector, including English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Martin Jones - Programmes Development Manager

Sharron Nestor - Initiatives Development Manager - Sharron joined Groundwork in July 2006 as the Initiatives Development Manager. She is responsible for the management and development of programmes across our six themes ? Communities, Land, Education, Employment, Business and Youth.

Before joining Groundwork Sharron worked in policy and programmes and project management for over seven years, with central and local government and the voluntary sector. She also spent two years in the Caribbean as a Programme Manager.

Sharron has an MSc in Planning and Development, specialising in social development. She is a keen cyclist, braving the London traffic on her way to and from work every day and she loves to travel.

Hannah Duckworth - Contracts Manager - Hannah joined Groundwork London in July 2002 as a Programmes Assistant. Her experience working with Groundwork to date has included the management of a number of London programmes, including several small grant funds as well as contributing to areas of programme development. Her current role includes overall responsibility for the delivery of all current London regional programmes and project contracts as well as overseeing reporting to funders and partners. Hannah is also the lead officer for the Neighbourhoods Green project.

Prior to joining Groundwork, Hannah spent two years working for a research department within the London School of Economics. She has also spent a year working as an environmental volunteer in Nepal.

Tom Nickels - Programmes Assistant - Tom joined Groundwork in November 2005 and has gained experience assisting on a wide-range of programmes. His current role focuses on employment programmes, including our London Employment Action Programme, ALG and Cultivating for Success.

Tom is also responsible for the WREF, LWCP, Barclays Spaces for Sports and Living Spaces Programmes.

Linnea Ranger - Trust Development Manager - Linnea heads the Trust Development team in London, working with Ian Sesnan and Sonia Ali. Prior to joining Groundwork, Linnea spent 5-years working in various planning, environmental and regeneration roles across Hertfordshire and North London. Subsequently she was Community Programmes Manager and, later, Development Manager at Groundwork Hertfordshire for 5-years, before joining Groundwork London, full-time, in September 2005.

Her current role is focussed on improving Groundwork's coverage of London - specifically the North London sub-region.

Linnea Ranger - Development Manager

Ian Sesnan - Trust Development Consultant - Ian read Town Planning at Newcastle University and has worked for Friends of the Earth. He has also obtained a Masters Degree in Regeneration and worked with the London Borough of Lambeth.

Recently Ian has been dividing his time between working on the development of Groundwork Trusts and other consultancy work, mainly with social enterprises and community-led projects. He is Vice-Chair of Lambeth Primary Care Trust and a Trustee of the Kings College Hospital Charitable Trust, as well as an adviser to the charity Sustainability First.

Sonia Ali - Research Officer - Sonia joined Groundwork London in 2004 soon after completing a Masters at the London School of Economics. Prior to that she gained a BA (Hons) in Architecture, worked in the Dearne Valley and in her native Bangladesh, and spent a year in Los Angeles.

Sonia's role is to carry out research and feasibility work for the Trust Development team, which co-ordinates expansion of Groundwork?s services into new areas of London.

Ben Levinson - Regional Marketing Officer - Ben joined Groundwork London in February 2006. He previously spent a year at Groundwork Hertfordshire as their Marketing Officer. Ben is responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications at the London Regional Office.

Prior to joining Groundwork Ben spent 5-years working in the IT industry, including 2-years working in the Netherlands as European Marketing Manager for CTX Europe. Ben has a degree in history from Birmingham University and a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.

Ben Levinson - Regional Marketing Officer

Andrew O'Mahony - Office Manager - Andrew joined Groundwork in June 2004. He currently manages the Morley Street premises (London & South East Regional Offices), ICT systems, meeting room facilities and Health & Safety procedures. He is a member of Gwk UK's Employee Forum, Health & Safety Committee, and BS8555 Green Team.
