Groundwork in London has significant experience of working with social landlords, including housing associations, ALMO’s and local authority housing departments. Services range from community engagement to physical regeneration and include employment training initiatives, youth work and education schemes.
Groundwork is currently developing a more strategic approach to its work with the social housing sector, in both delivering projects ‘on the ground’ and creating sustainable partnerships across London. The aim is to highlight the importance of good quality open space provision within areas of social housing, working in partnership with social landlords to begin to improve the quality and design of open spaces and support the sector in their approach to effective and longer-term management.
The Trusts in London work extensively within housing areas, using skills of landscape design and community capacity building to bring communities together across generational, social and cultural divides.
